The 30,000 Hand Prop Bet Challenge!

I am very excited to announce that I am partaking in my first ever prop bet.  I tried to start one about a year ago (I think) on CardsChat and the thread got deleted and I was "warned" ... anyways with that whole thing behind me I did start a prop bet on my own at a private forum.  I've never been a part of one "officially" and this is all very exciting for me.

The Motivation

Over the next week I am going to have more free time than I will at any point this month.  Because I had so much free time and I have not played any poker (well, 3k hands) this month, I thought this was a perfect time to do this.  I needed some motivation to play a ton of hands and this was definitely going to do the trick.

The Means

On the private forum I made a quick post and was looking for a little action and actually had to increase my limit.  Originally I wanted to do something small like $100 but then decided to just put $250, then actually bumped it up to a maximum of $400.  As it stands of this post I have $325 in action against me.  I'll be updating both the private forum as well as my blog regularly.

The Details

Below is the outline of the prop bet.  If whittled down to one sentence:  I have to play 30,000 hands of Full Ring No Limit Hold'em poker on PokerStars by Sunday afternoon.

Here's the whole bet with stipulations:

PROP BET:

Who: Me on PokerStars

What: Play a minimum 30,000 hands of FR poker during the stated duration.

Duration: Start Monday, Feb 8, 2010 @ 11pm PST.  End Sunday, Feb 14, 2010 @ 2pm PST

Stakes: I can play 25nl, 50nl or 100nl tables or their equivalent of Euro tables

Action: Since this is hardly an impossible prop bet, I'm just looking for 1:1 odds.  Seems like a decent deal to get action.  Considering my raging issues with tilt it's probably a pretty good bet against.  The max amount of action I am looking to take is a maximum total $250.

ESCROW:  <PLAYER NAME OMITTED> has agreed to Escrow the prop bet.

Stipulations:

1. You must escrow to <PLAYER NAME OMITTED>on Stars or <PLAYER NAME OMITTED>on FTP.  I will match the sum of the escrow money and send it to <PLAYER NAME OMITTED> as soon as the prop bet starts.  All funds must be paid to <PLAYER NAME OMITTED> before the prop bet begins for 1:1 odds.  I will leave a 24 hour window open, but a late "fee" will occur and I'll only take action at 2:1 at that point (The late entry bets will be accepted up until 2/9/2010 @ 11pm PST) (meaning if you bet $20 against me, you win $10 if I fail).  (BTW if there is a preference, please do the funds on PokerStars)

2. I will post a graph at a minimum of every 24 hours.

3. No bumhunting me you bastards  Those involved with the prop bet can play against me only if they are normally a 25-100nl regular on PokerStars.

4. Once the 30,000 hands has been played or exceeded, the prop bet is over with me the winner and all funds are paid to me.  If the deadline passes and I have not played at least 30,000 hands, the funds will be shipped by the ESCROW within 24 hours.

5. Only FULL RING hands I play at PokerStars will count towards the goal.  However, if I sit at a FR table and it dwindles to 4 or 5 players and shows up in HEM as 6max, it counts.  I can also start tables at FR if I so choose.

6. I can only play a maximum of 20 tables at a time.

7. All bets must be confirmed and accepted by both myself and the escrow to be accepted.
