Banning Myself from Cash Games until Saturday

Alright, I've had it. Seriously, I'm beyond the fed up stage and just "over it" at this point. Another big downswing (-$33) for the afternoon FR Cash Session @ 25nl ... this morning I played about 30 minutes of 6max (3 tables) at 25nl and made $5 but felt over my head. Last night I played a $5 SNG and had fun, and survived to take 3rd and ITM. The cash game session during lunch was another brutal time and I found myself not even having fun and spacing out. After this happened, I was just over it ... so no more Cash Games until Saturday.

Villain here has a line of 56/44/4 so he's an absolute maniac. Just wild and crazy as can be at a full ring table ya know? So, I pop it up 4x (with WVHillBilly's voice in my head) and this dude's raise means nothing to me. I figure him for some weak Ax hand or some suited connectors ... either way at this point I've got 74-25 equity in the hand. I flat call hoping to take it assuming I dodge the nasty AKx flops. I bet it and he shoves. So what does a wild player like this shove with? Damn near anything really ... flush draw certainly (seen it tons at 25nl with this type of player), and we still have 78-21 equity in the hand. It's a no brainer call right? I'll have to think about that, but I make the call, he rolls over JJ for the set, I lost a stack ... again ... with a pocket-overpair to someone who hits a ridiculous flop/turn.

Anyways, this act has gotten old. Seems like a lot of guys are running like this for the week. So I'm banning myself from the cash tables, and if I play it'll just be SNGs.

Against a villain with stats that bad I’m 4betting QQ and hoping to get AIPF since we crush his range. Stacking on that flop against those stats is totally standard.

I have noticed something in your bet sizing that I think you need to watch. It seems like with a big pair QQ+ you’re raising 4x and with most other hands you’re only going 3x. Not sure if anyone at 25NL is paying that much attention but it’s something you need to fix. Either always 4x or always 3x, but not one or the other based on hand strength. This is just based on my remembrance of the hands you’ve shown here.

T’was a play that’s going to pay off more often than not.

I had a similar situation “can’t believe him” at $50NL last night.
I had Q/2 suited, the board was 3/Q/5/K/3.
He limped pre-flop, bet $3 on the flop, Bet $8 on the turn, and shoved for $16 on the river.
He mucked his A/9o and I scooped the pot.

The night before I called down a guy with my A/J which gave me Ace high. He bet the flop and turn and checked the river. I checked the river too. Unfortunately the river paired the 6 he was holding.

With the dead money these guys chase out because of the squeeze they put on other players, you don’t even have to win these things 50% of the time to make money.

Also keep in mind that EVER WIN OR LOSS IS AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR IMAGE. If you call down a maniac light, people at $25 don’t usually know why you did it, they just think, “That Icemonkey is an idiot who overvalues his hands. I hope I tangle with him so he can call me down.” Then they are likely to underestimate you and pay you off when you hit.
