So my theory of table selection + nut peddling has paid off for a huge upswing. Woo! At one point today (just for today) was down -$42, and now i am up $38.60 so yay for me!

Fired up the FTP tables and 6 tabled FTP. It was my 2nd time 6 tabling it and I found out I don't enjoy it. I just dont connect to the table. Anyways, early on it was yet another bloodbath. My flopped set runs into his flush. 1 stack gone. For reasons completely unknown I stacked with TPTK on the turn against someone I thought was really weak. Boy was I wrong. 2nd stack gone.

So then I'm grinding away ... and just getting absolutely NOTHING in terms of value for hands. It almost felt like they were being played face up. I'd have AA or KK or QQ and make a standard raise (same thing every time no matter what). Insta-folds all around. I'd have AK or AQ or TT and make the same raise ... 2 callers, rag flop, bet-raise. I fold.

So at this point I look at the tables and realize I can pretty much sum the table stats (for all of them) around 9/5/4. Tight, tight, agressive. Basically the only way you'll get paid is if your monster is bigger than his monster. So I looked around and am seeing some juicy-juicy $50nl games. Do I have the BR? Not online no. WTF I say. I can always just go back to playing video games.

So from my -$40 I pick up a couple of GREAT hands early and ... shock ... got value for them! I ended down about -$5. At least I salvaged something there. But I really had a good time at $50nl. I'll think about 2-tabling there + 1 $25nl for my next session.

The revenge factor looms large, and my theory from this morning holds true. I definitely should avoid the "shark only" hours from 12am-3am during the week. The "lunchtime and weekend" crowd is just 'oh so juicy'.

I wrapped a nice 40 minute lunch-break session, and dominated and left up +$24. Definitely making my way back quickly after last night's freefall. Of course, it really helps when THIS happens:

A Little Morning Redemption

I had about 45 minutes to spare this morning so I logged back in. I thought about last night's debacle ... and I really realized that the tables didn't deserve me being there. Filled with good players, small stacks, and tight aggressive. There's just not the opportunity there as there should be.

So this morning I poked around FTP (FullTilt Poker) and found some tables that had a couple of big stacks and a few LAG players. Played the TAG game and left up +$13 which takes a little sting out of last night. I think the weekend *really* brings out the fish and you can play a lot more on the weekend for profit than you can during the weekday late-nights. So I'm instituting a policy of only playing ring games during the week during "regular" hours (lunch time, after dinner) and anytime through the weekend.

Just got slammed on FullTilt tonight. Body Slammed. Then an elbow to the face.

AA vs JJ. Cracked for an entire stack.

Then i got piledriven ... my set of 7s vs ... his set of ACES. Bye bye 2nd stack.

Overall impact : -$46

B R U T A L. Just have to factor in variance, some bad plays, and getting cold cards. All of those happened tonight on first glace of the numbers. Makes me very discouraged for this month. UGH.
