Well, my lovely and beautiful wife is off on a week long vacation with her two sisters and I'm at home. So after a long day at the office I basically have full control over my destiny ... no dinner dates, no TV, no nothing really. Which is great, I need some alone-time to have fun. So - I plan to play a lot of poker and have a lot of fun. I will also mix in a live cardroom experience and report back as well.

Tuesday Cash Experience

I had about 45 minutes of free time so I hit up the cash tables for the first time in over a week. Not a bad experience, here's the details:

Hands: 538
Amount Won: $18.45
BB/100: 6.86

These hands were played at PokerStars where I am seeing much looser and weaker play. I've almost totally decided to remove my bankroll from UltimateBet and move it to Stars. The action at 25nl at UB is a joke since there are usually only 3 or 4 tables total. PS usually has 20 to 30. Pretty much have to go to where the action is ... although UB has great action for 50nl (because of their bad beat jackpot). Since I am not rolled for 50nl on any site, there's just no point to being at UB anymore.

HU SNG Champ … IN FOUR HANDS!

So I saw my new online poker bud KingCurtis online, and he's playing a $20 HU SNG. (HU = Heads Up, a one-on-one match) So I figured, hey I've never tried ... so let me try one. So I buy in to a $2 HU SNG with a $4 prize.

Of course... I won. But I won the thing in FOUR hands. It wasn't like I had AA four straight hands, the other guy was kind of a goofball, but whatever, I won and I'm bragging.

A Little Perspective

Since this is a poker blog and not a personal one, I'll keep the personal notes to a minimum. On Monday night my wife's uncle passed away and went to the Kingdom of God. He went without pain and surrounded with his family around him. Although I only knew him for the last 4 years, I became close and am morning his loss.

Obviously, this puts my hobbies (like poker) into perspective. It's fun, it's profitable (fortunately), but that's all it is, and I definitely have kept an even keel about that.

Anyways, going to take off a few days more (haven't done anything last few days anyways). But I think when my wife goes on vacation with her sisters for a week I'll have plenty of time to have poker-fun. See you then.
